King Family Vineyards is a family-owned and operated boutique winery located in Crozet, just fifteen minutes from Charlottesville at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The winery specializes in small productions of ultra-premium wine that showcase the remarkable qualities of nearly 100% estate grown fruit. Founded in 1998, the winery's first vintage was only 500 cases. Today, the winery produces approximately 5,000 cases of wine per year.
The covered veranda, expansive lawn, or brick patio are perfect for outdoor picnics while the Tasting Room and warm stone fireplace are inviting on cooler days. Bring your own goodies or pick from our gourmet assortments of chocolates, cheeses, salamis, spreads, and hot french bread.

We welcome you to enjoy a sampling of our award winning wines in our casual, relaxing Tasting Room during normal business hours. As you arrive, our gracious and knowledgeable staff will lead you through a tasting of six wines for $5 per person. A signature wine glass is included as a souvenir.
GROUP TASTINGS
Group tastings (eight or more people) must be scheduled in advance. Enjoy an unforgettable experience while you taste and learn in-depth information about our wines. Selections of special, limited release or older vintage wines are included in this tasting. For only $10 per person, you will receive a private tour of our wine making facility and vineyard (weather permitting), tasting in our barrel room or other private space (certain times of year or group size may result in the tasting being held in other private space), and a signature wine glass is included as a souvenir. Time slots are limited so please call ahead to make a reservation. Payment is required in advance. Tastings not canceled with more than 48 hours notice will not receive a refund. If your group is less than eight but you would still like this experience, our minimum fee of $80 will be charged.
We recommend bringing a light jacket as the Barrel Room is kept at a low temperature for the wines.
For groups larger than 20 who are looking to host a luncheon, meeting, or other social gathering during business hours, the fee is $20 per person. This includes the above ~ plus reserved seating on the grounds for up to three hours. Limited availability. Call for more information.
OFF-SITE TASTINGS
Add a new dimension to your next dinner party or reception. A member of our well trained staff will come to your house or place of business to conduct a tasting for you and your guests. We will work with you to customize the tasting choosing any number of the wines we offer. The fee is $75/hour plus wine. A signature wine glass for each guest is included. Additional travel fees outside the Charlottesville may be charged. Please contact us for more information or to schedule this service.
