Petit Manseng 2015
Most commonly associated with the Jurançon region of southwestern France, Petit Manseng is finding a second home in the vineyards of Virginia. The variety’s thick skins and loose clusters make it particularly well suited to our macroclimate. It is known for yielding ripe fruit with high sugar levels alongside high levels of acidity. While these characteristics are inclined towards sweet wine production, this bottling has been fermented to dryness to demonstrate the grape’s versatility. After two years of aging in neutral French oak barrels, the racy acidity has been well integrated into the wine’s rounded texture and complex character. Enjoy chilled with a variety of cuisine.
